The tax group that was deleted in smartOFFICE Online is still linked to the tax group in QuickBooks Online. Re-adding the tax group in smartOFFICE Online does not link to the existing tax group in QuickBooks Online because of this.
Please follow these steps to correct this issue:
1. Log in to QuickBooks Online.
2. Edit the existing QuickBooks Online tax group and rename with the letter z at the beginning of the name.
3. Mark the QuickBooks Online tax group as inactive.
4. Create a new QuickBooks Online tax group with the same name and information as the tax group that is in smartOFFICE Online.
