Mark Cichowski, CEO at Clarity AV International, Inc.

Relevant Past Positions & Experience:

Broad experience includes business development (domestic and international), sales management, marketing, client relations, training, extensive domestic and international travel, successful P&L management, operational responsibility, product launches, direct sales, and more. Mark has a results oriented approach with an inquisitive personality, and he’s been described as direct, outgoing and positive.

Audio/Video roots began with selling Hi-Fi and 12-volt in New Jersey in 1979.

1984 moved to California and worked at major AV retailer named the Federated Group. Store sales, then GM managing all facets of store operations. Also doubled as regional sales trainer and helped develop company-wide training program.

Recruited by Sonance. During six years there as International Sales Manager, established and maintained distribution in approximately 40 countries along with implementing contracts, training on concepts of Home Theater/Custom Audio and creating long-term relationships.

While at Sonance, was a founding member of CEDIA and instrumental in coordinating the contact between CEDIA-US and CEDIA groups that are now in Australia and Europe.

Advertising Regional Manager for Curtco Freedom Group/Home Theater Magazine.

Director of Worldwide Sales and Marketing at McIntosh Audio Labs.

Co-founded a mobile phone company named DigiCom Wireless Corporation, ran it for three years, then sold the business.

Worked in the Commercial/Pro AV market with major integration company named MCSI, focusing on key accounts.

In 2002, founded Clarity AV International, Inc., which specializes in international business development, sales and marketing, training/seminars and advertising campaigns, focusing on the custom audio/video electronics industry.

Clarity AV developed a manufacturer representative division specifically for the Southern California, Arizona and Southern Nevada regions. This evolved into a separate manufacturer rep firm named Clarity Business Group that provided dealer sales, service and support for an assortment of leading manufacturers in the residential audio, video and control channel. Sold that segment of the business in September 2013.

In 2009 founded the Technology & Business Summit events, which are regional trade shows/educational events. They are largely driven by independent manufacturer rep firms to connect reps, manufacturers and dealers in a one-on-one environment to build mutual business.

CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association), who has been involved with the Tech Summits for years, acquired the events from me in April, 2018.

I continue to work with CEDIA as an independent contractor to help with the Technology & Business Summit events. I am also currently creating a rep program for OneVision Resources, and working with a variety of other companies on various projects such as training programs and general business development.
