What is signal type?

Signal type is the electrical connection a device uses to pass its signal. ie: The analog output of a cable box we define as “line level audio” with the further description of “unbalanced.” This allows designMACHINE to only allow electrically compatible devices to connect to each other.

How do I add multiple connections?

In “Product Manager” select the product from the tree on the left. Click the “Add Sequence” button. A pop up will appear where you can define whether the connections are inputs or outputs. Then choose a name for the connection. Choose a signal type. Then choose the quantity of connections necessary and save.

How do I add connections to a product?

In “Product Manager” select the product from the tree on the left. Click “Add Input” or “Add Output” to add an input or output connection. Right click on the desired connection to edit, duplicate, or delete. In edit you may then define the name of the connection and its signal type.

How do I add a product to my library?

Launch Design Machine and choose “Manage My Products.” Click “File” then mouse over “New” then “Product.” This will provide a pop up where you can then define the manufacturer, model, category, and a brief description of the product.
